Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

.blog .has-post-thumbnail .archive-post-wrap img {
    width: auto;
}

The category issue has been solved.

To have the featured image disabled on individual posts
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Layout Options => Single Page/Post Image Layout => Select Disabled and Publish.
